Tea bushes for miles!  Stayed at the hotel, built during the colonial days. Can imagine what it would have been like. But today, its seedy and worn.  No upkeep, redecoration or plain pizazz!  Still the air-conditioning worked, there was hot water and food was served in the dining room.

Have not been here for many years; the Kericho Tea Hotel used to be a must stop but I have heard it has gone to seed.
anyway, you are not far from Kitale, and Kitale is not far from Saiwa Swamp, one of the few places to see sitatunga and a bunch of birdlife with West African affinities
