Kingman Reef Travel Guide

This boomerang shaped atoll is considered one of the most pristine ecosystems in the Pacific. A diverse number of corals, marine life, invertebrates, turtles and seabirds frequent the area. Completely submerged some of the time and partially submerged all of the time, the land rises to a maximum of 1m. Due to its low elevation, it’s also been known as Danger Rock for the hazards it poses to sailors trying to navigate the area who don’t realize the presence of jagged rock and coral. The whole area is protected as a biodiversity wild life refuge complex and it is not possible to travel to Kingman Reef.
