Sigulda Travel Guide

Sigulda is a small and quite town. The visit to the castel, a walk or a bike tour around Sigulda (without missing the the Gauja river, the forests and the caves) are highly recomended. The bobsleight track can be great for those who like sports and strong experiences! ;) It can be good even in the summer but the best experience you'll able to get during the winter. Sigulda a specially beautiful place to visit during the autumn.

It is a great place to go to see the impact of the world wars.  There is a huge separation between the younger and older generations.  You can definitely see the ware and tare the war had on the country in the older generations.  For some reason all the woman are GORGEOUS!!  It is the most conquered country in history....that's what I heard anyways.  Interesting and cool place.  I like it. 

Take a train from Riga to Sigulda. In the immediate vicinity of the satation there's a bobsleigh track. For a few lats you can get down with a softbob. If Bobsleighers are training, for approx 25 lats, they will take you down in a real bobsleigh... be prepared to feel the G's
