Home-town of world-wide known writter Jubran Khalil Jubran. There's the house where he suppossedly lived, although it is not true because he spent most of his life in the States and studied in Beirut, not in wadi Qadisha which is his area. There is also a Jubran museum. I don't recommend the place to see any of Jubran's related stuff. I recommend Bcharre as the campsite to go trekking and visit all the amazing places in the valley. However, this is not the coolest village in the area, but the biggest and best connected. Anyway, it is easy to hichike.
