Kernave was the capital of Lithuania in XIII century. Now it is famous for its unique landscape including mounds and Gothic-styled church. In summertime there are music festivals happening just a few kilometers from Kernave, like Baltic Sound.

01874If you are biking through Lithuania this is the wrong town to get caught in if your bike has problems. There are three bike shops but none of them actually fix bikes. One says they do on Thursdays but than no one showed up. So, if your bike breaks here take a bus to another town.
