Travel Tips for Dos and Don’ts in Lithuania

Vilnius, Dzūkija (Southeastern Lithuania), Lithuania
Peter Paul's church. A pearl of Estern Europe, an obligatory point of Vilnius trips. No problems with language (if you speak lithuanian... ;) kidding - polish and english are popular). Very nice, warm city with low buildings.

Vilnius, Dzūkija (Southeastern Lithuania), Lithuania
Vilnius is my favorite city within a cheap flight of Helsinki ;) I go there at least three times a year. I highly recommend the restaurant Chinggiskhanas for some good Kazakh food - I have flown there just because of a craving for their food! A lot cheaper than heading off to Almaty! But seriously any city with a statue of Frank Zappa has to be good ;) And the best part is that there are not AS many drunk British morons on stag parties in Vlinius as you find in the rest of Eastern Europe, and I have to love that the local British pub has a sign on the door saying "no stag party groups" :)) Keep the infantile drunk Brits on their own Alcatraz of the North Sea where they belong ;)

Juodkrante, Lithuania Minor (Sea-Coast), Lithuania
You must go to the Witch Hill (wooden sculptures of the heroes and witches of Lithuanian fairy stories), must try some local smoked fish and should visit the beach near the Baltic sea, rest, swim or play beachball

Neringa, Lithuania
Must visit 4 local towns in Neringa (and do it only in summer, because Neringa is a resort open for tourists only in summertime)- Juodkrante, Pervalka, Preila and Nida (you can rent a bike to make it more interesting and exiting), must go to the beach (near the Baltic sea), must participate in Tomas Manas Jazz festival in Nida.
