A small country side city in development. Good food and welcoming people.
Klaipeda, Klaipedos Region, Lithuania
Take the ferry to the beautiful peninsula, there are small vilages and very high dunes, the beaches aren't crowed but the sea is cold !
Vilnius, Dzūkija (Southeastern Lithuania), Lithuania
gedimino tower is really beautiful
Plunge, ŽZemaitija (Lowlands), Lithuania
It is a nice small town with an old park and the palace there.
Vilnius, Dzūkija (Southeastern Lithuania), Lithuania
Cheap hostels, normal prices for food in bars. Beer's awful! Lot of amazing sightseeing.
Adutiskis, Dzūkija (Southeastern Lithuania), Lithuania
i was in this place for a short time, around 3a.m. with a friend. at the time it looked like the real end of the world, but i could capture there a nice feeling (trying to find a way from there to visaginas).
Druskininkai, Dzūkija (Southeastern Lithuania), Lithuania
Nice resort, many spas, nice architecture, good for a relaxing stay. The water park ROCKS! It is a huge indoor complex of 4 swimming pools with lots of activities, laser shows, and over 30 different sauna types. When you're there, take a few hours trip to Grutas Parkas (approx 10-12 km from Druskinnikai) where all communist statues are placed, it's pretty educating!
Tytuvenai, ŽZemaitija (Lowlands), Lithuania
I spend at least a couple of weeks a year in Tytuvenai. To me, this little town is beautiful in all seasons. It's surrounded by lakes and woods, so taking long walks there is very nice. Also this little town has an old beautiful church with a monastery. The interior of the church is baroque and rococo, with many decorations and paintings.
Juodkrante, Lithuania Minor (Sea-Coast), Lithuania
You must go to the Witch Hill (wooden sculptures of the heroes and witches of Lithuanian fairy stories), must try some local smoked fish and should visit the beach near the Baltic sea, rest, swim or play beachball
