003From Siauliai (someone told me to pronounce it as shoe-lay, just remember shoe lace- helpful for buses) you can catch a bus to the hill of crosses. Or at least, to a bus stop on a road from where you can walk to the hill. It is literally just a hill covered in crosses, and each cross is covered in crosses. very beautiful. Easy day trip from Vilnius

0158I spend at least a couple of weeks a year in Tytuvenai. To me, this little town is beautiful in all seasons. It's surrounded by lakes and woods, so taking long walks there is very nice. Also this little town has an old beautiful church with a monastery. The interior of the church is baroque and rococo, with many decorations and paintings.

001siauliai is a nice small city but a big one for lithuania.
getting there or leave from there is quiet easy with the bus but to know wich one yoiu have to take,yoiu should better have a small dictionnary english/lithuanian...
