07773Skopje rules - my favorite place to vacation when I am working in Helsinki - great food, wonderful Balkan music outdoor nightclubs in the park, and tons of outdoor bars along the river in the new city - all at discount prices, and great food if you love fatty slabs of delicious meat, as I do! Give me Skopje anyday! Macedonia is the only place in Southern Europe worth visiting for rest and relaxation - don't waste time on Greece and Italy!

0167Ako ste uzeli rent a car i planirate ga ostaviti na aerodromu naici ce te na problem jer u Makedoniji to jos nije postala praksa.Takodjer naci put iz Skopja do aerodroma je nemoguca misija jer nema niti jedne table na putu do tamo.Uglavnom ljudi su vrlo ljubazni i svatko ce Vam pomoci a znanje cirilice za odlazak u Makediniju u MUST jer tamo je sve na cirilici...cak i ako mislite da je se ne sjecate nakon jednog dana ce te se iznenaditi kako se one lekcije iz treceg osnovne vracaju :)

0164For gold jewellry or for some old school cultural flavour head to Bitpazar across the river in the old part of the town. This is the only part that architecturally survived the earthquake of the early 60s. I'm told it tends to be a Muslim enclave these days when the capital city is quite segregated with sporadic outbreaks of violence. Feel out the safety situation before going.
