Travel Tips from people who've been to Johor Bahru
there are many good food like bakuteh, bbq fish and fresh seafood Good tip? (+1) Johor Bahru is a nice city just across the boarder from Singapore. The nigthlife in Johor Bahru is great if you know the places where to go but you have to ge definitely to the Zone. It's a tax free area with lot's of bars, restaurant and as well a shoping mall with a hotel. When you go to the zone make sure that you be there for the happy hour what is takeing place till 9pm and you can get there 2 beer tower for the price of 1. In the blue wave hotel just beside of the causeway to Singapore you will find the bongo discotheque. For the lady's you need to go on Thursday night to the Picollo Restaurant at the Hyatt Hotel as then is Lady's night and that means that Lady's get drinks especially red wine cheaper. In the town itself you can find some different Restaurants. As well you need to go to Slinga Slalu it's a place where you can eat for 24 hours and there you will find lot's of people during daytime more family's and in the night time lot's of young people. On the way to Pasir Gudang there is a big shopping mall named Jusco. Lot's of shops are in there and you can lot's of things and much more cheaper then in Singapore. Good tip? Out of this dosh my friend and I were able to do a lot more than we could have ever done in singapore with the amount. To give you an idea, we were able to .. eat at Sundanese Restaurant and fill ourselves oh so heartily, watch a movie, window shop (yea this one's free), and eat Pizza Hut. Now, if you've been in Singapore long enough - you know 50SGD is not enough fund for all these. Good tip? (0)
