**** For KL go to Petrona's tower ... however if you want to do an amazing bungee go to the KL tower .... scary but fun!!!! 2nd tip..... For the gay guys go to the blue boy just behind bitambang- its grest and the drinks are cheap!!!!

This Island is amazing. Spend a few days in Georgetown. This old colonial city is a amazing mix of cultures and there fore there is an incrediable mix of religions, food languages and ambiance. Go during Chinese New Year if you can. The China town "Open House" is amazing but it is hot so take a umbrella. Take covering clothing for temple visits and cover up a little bit if you can as a woman as it is predominantly muslim. Its ok to wear a t-shirt but as a respect thing i wouldn't wander around in short shorts. Compare money deals with the different exchange places as you can wheel and deal if up for it. And for cheap amazing food go to the Red Garden food court.

If you are travelling to or from Singapore, take some time to explore Johor Bahru. There are some lovely shopping centres where you can pick up items much cheaper than in Singapore. There are some lovely hawker stalls where you can have a feast of Asian delights very cheaply. However, although cheap in Johor Bahru, the taxi drivers in particular tend to rip you off and over inflate their prices, particularily if they don't have a meter.

-It is a Muslim secular government, so things are fairly restrained compared to Bangkok but there are gay bars, massage, etc.

Beautiful to go to the "hills" close to Kota Kinabalu to overlook the city. Very good time to go before Christmas. Weather is beautiful, but it's raining once a day- which is great, because it clears up the air. Very humid, but therefore beautiful flowers and landscape A lot of great indian and malaysian restaurants. Also "italian" which i wouldn't recommend too much Easy to catch a flight to Sandakan, where you should definitely go to see the Orang Uthan. (Sepi Lok) BEAUTIFUL!!! For women going alone: careful at local markets, men are a bit pushy and obtrusive.

Not one of my favorite cities, somehow for me it looks like kuala lumpur trys to be the same city as singapore. Not a lot to do there and you have to be careful about your money ( taxidrivers etc...)
