04918I was there when the island was struck by the tsunami in 2004. I don't know how well it has recovered. The island is really nice, there is a small beach with black sand that people may find of some interest, up in the hills there is a crocodile farm where you can buy smoe croc stuff and see the croc show. Food is delicious.

0103Nice vacation spot! Diving and island hopping are good here. There are many budget accommodation at Pantai Cenang where you can see sunset quietly. There are also many seafood restaurant nearby which provide really good food. And not to missed is the cable car ride. It is a good spot to see the Malacca Strait.
