Locally known as Pulau Pangkor (or Pangkor Island) is located in the north of west coast of Malaysia (exactly in state of Perak). Name of Pangkor actually was from Thailanf word - Pang Ko - which mean beautiful. This island just few kilometers ferry-ride from the nearest town in mainland, Lumut.Having a holiday here is great - and well economic destinations for those who have little travel budget. You can choose to stay at the resorts here or have a homestay with villager. Don;t worry, there all so friendly. Well, for those travelers which are Muslims, most of villagers in Pangkor are Muslims too - so you don't have to worry about the halal food. Few interesting activities here - well of course snorkeling and scuba diving since it is an island. Not to forget also canoeing, windsurfing or sunbathing. Getting to Pangkor Island There are two ways to ge here, either by ferry/boat which the take-off point is at Lumut or by private flight from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport at Selangor directly to airport at Pangkor.
