30 days in southeast Asia can drive a lonely girl mad...not quite but almost. / ; Pacing my hotel room at 4 in the morning, counting down the minutes til' the sun peeks. It was here that I became officially Lost in Translation. Over 1,100 islands spread across the Indian Ocean...beautiful water, great surf, utter seclusion....except for those DAMN PIRATES (true story)!!!
I have now been to three islands and had a relaxing time and met some good freinds , my advice is to try it . take an underwater camera with you as the sealife is well worth a look even if you dont swim some waters are shallow enough to wade out and see some fish including small sharks & rays . also take some good books it is that relaxing ! enjoy .
I've seen some tips that visiting the capital is not worth it - well I have to disagree. The capital island is well worth a visit if you want something more than just staying at a resort. It's perfectly safe to walk around and do some shopping or eat some local food and learn a bit about the people who live here. Highly recommended!
