Rabat, adjoining Mdina in central Malta, is not as charming as the latter but nevertheless charming enough if you are there... the city starts just as you exit the gates of Mdina and is more sprawled out ... but there are specific tourist sites to visit, such as the cathedral and the catacombs, and it doesn't take more than a couple of hours to get a general flavour of it...the two cites share a common cab and coach parking...

In the centre of Gozo, and Gozo's capital... it does not offer a coast for which most people come to Gozo... but offers connections to almost everywhere on the island, including coasts... hence a bit of a transport hub... but the city itself too has its attractions, most of all its famed citadel... Gozo anyway is so small that going between cities here is like going between different parts of one city at another place...
