Travel Tips from people who've been to San Felipe
San Felipe It is a great place to visit but traveling into this part of Mexico can be a little tricky. I flew into Yuma, Arizona; at my date of travel passports were not required to drive across the border but this has changed and you will need a passport. After crossing over the border you will pass through a couple small towns and eventually find yourself on a single road will barely any signs of life for around 90 minutes. Do not be alarmed if you are stopped at check points by the federallies, they only want to check vehicles to inforce the laws and drug trafficing. eventually you will start to see water on your left hand side, this is the sea of cortez and about twenty minutes after you will arrive in San Felipe. It is beautiful and all of the locals are polite and inviting. There are many new and amazing resorts to stay and and many places to visit while in town. My father lives here and fell in love with it the first time he visited and believe me I did to.

Be careful eating the white sauce on fish tacos.  It it looks warm, stay away.  I am usually fine eating it, but twice have gotten very ill from it.  You are better off just squezzing lime on them.
