Travel Tips from people who've been to Tlaquepaque
Best mexican crafts shopping, though not the cheapest its excellent quality furniture, lamps, mirrors, pottery, trendy and original, with a mixture of old and new mexican styles. Located 15 minute drive fron Guadalajara you can enjoy Mariachi and some of the most typical mexican food. There´s a 2 level scenic bus that drives you back and forth from Guadalajara and carries earphones with a recorded explanation of the sights you are passing through in different languages (tapatio tour bus). Beautiful little town with stone streets and colonial buildings greatly preserved. For great food and an excellent mariachi and folk dance show don´t miss El Abajeño on Juarez street.

The "mariachis land", typical place to find a moment to relax, eat good mexican food, tequila and have fun listening the mariachi. Theres a special place "El Parian" full of nice restaurants and typical mexican music. I like it. Another thing.... the girls in Guadalajara are really nice!!!
