Ciudad Juarez Travel Guide

A very upbeat atmosphere but also dangerous.  You can shop in the outdoor market and buy just about anything from food to clothes and good recuerdos.  You can use US $$ or pesos to shop.  Live entertainment in the streets- just be very aware of your surroundings.. many women have gone missing in the streets of this city!!! You can drive across the boarder or.. I suggest parking in El paso and walking accross the boarder.. insurance does not cover you in Mexico and the lines at the boarder with a car are extremely long!

Back in the day all the underage drinkers used to party it up in this large border town.  Now this town is very dangerous I know people who have family there and they won't even go to visit.  Avoid this city the drug wars have become epic.  If you dare to brave the danger town, stop by Viva Mexico and get some good food then hop on over to the strip and check out the Copa Cabana nightclub.  Wild times!!!

We just took a quick jaunt into Juarez and what a colorful place, the shops were exciting to see and was a wonderful experience for my teenage son to see what life is like there. Even with filthy streets and the new smells we found a quaint restraunt to eat a filling meal at an excellent price. half a chicken, salad and chips with slasa and a beer for  a grand total of $4. a bargan!!
