Mexico City & Surrounds People & Culture
Mexico City, Mexico City & Surrounds, Mexico Everybody says Mexico City is an extremly dangerous city, but from my
experience I can tell you, that as long as you don't run around in
expensive clothes and shoes without any jewelry, noboy will do you any
harm. Actually it's the opposite: Mexicans are warm hearted people how
are very proud of their country, and especially of Mexico City, and
like to share their knowledge of it with everybody! Very important to see, besides the usual things you can read in every guide, are the different markets in different parts of the town (especially the "TEPITO" market. Also very interesting are the little Taco Bars in the streets. Don't think about what to eat. Just eat and then ask! Good tip? (+4) Mexico City, Mexico City & Surrounds, Mexico buldog cafe
the coolest place in town- young people, live rock bands. expensive cover (27us$)- but cool drinks Good tip? (+1) Mexico City, Mexico City & Surrounds, Mexico Mexico City is one of the largest cities in the world, so you have like a million things to do, from theater to visit the pyramids of El Sol and La Luna. One of the best restaurants in the world is on Mazaryk and it's called Biko, the prices is a little bit over the top, but, believe me, youll never taste anything like that in your life! Now, for more mexican style, you can always go to El Bajio, this restaurant, the original is on the Cuitlahuac avenue. Ask for the Mole de olla, soooo goodd!! No matter what you do, mingle with the locals and don't dress like a tourist (bermudas, hawaiian shirts and baseball caps) cause not only you will be blank of all the laughters around, but youll be an easy target of the pickpockets! LOL. and if you go out at night, go to Momma in Polanco and with a safe taxi, those aoutside the hotels. Youll love this city, for their people, food and historic relevance. Good tip? There are more museums in Mexico City that you could possibly count. We found gallery after gallery just walking down the street. Admission was as little as a dollar. Good tip? (+1) Mexico City, Mexico City & Surrounds, Mexico Best place to listen to the Mariachi bands is in the plaza Garibaldi, make sure you go there with local, as it is also a high crime area.
