Travel Tips from people who've been to Northern Central Highlands
Zacatecas is such a beautiful place to go. Not one of the tourists towns. There are many surrounding areas such as La Bufa, and La Qumada to visit. La quemada is old mayan indains ruins and it is a hike to get to the top, so pack some good walking shoes! The views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking and you will never see anything like it! There is also a little shop that has many different souviners to purchase, last time I was there I purchased two face masks that were put together by infusing different rocks found within te ruins. It has jade, onyx, topaz, tigers eye and they are all smoothed out to make a beautiful mask. If you ever get the chance to visit take it and your shoes and get ready for a great experience.

When traveling to Querétaro, Mexico, there are many options on how to get there. You can simply fly into the Queretaro airport, but it's quite expensive. The easiest way is to simply take the bus! From the Benito Juarez International Airport in México City, one can find the bus terminal and purchase tickets to and from Querétaro for about $25 round trip. The nicest bus line is "Primera Plus" and they offer movies, drinks, and a snack during the bus ride while you ride in great, clean comfort! It's about a three hour ride by bus to the historical city of Querétaro.
