the cities metro is fast, safe and really really cheap. only 2 pesos for a trip and you can travel as many lines as you want. but take the combis if you want to see more sites, since they travel on more off-track roads and avoid the ejes, or major highways.the conductors are pretty helpful if you get lost. Go with friends, since it will be safer that way.
Guanajuato, Northern Central Highlands, Mexico
Lo mejor es caminar Guanajuato. Olvídese de autos: sólo el vehículo que lo lleve a la ciudad. No tema tomar taxi si lo necesita, pero prepárese para largas y asombrosas caminatas.

mexico better than brazil.
Isla Mujeres, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
Rent a golf cart while there, it is so much fun, and cheaper than taxis to get around. The island is only 3 miles long.
Morelia, Western Central Highlands, Mexico
its a beautiful city to see and the bus tour is excellent
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
Take the bus, it's cheap, safe and easy to get anywhere. I would never rent a car, other than for day trips outside the city.
Guadalajara, Central Pacific Coast, Mexico
Best way to experience the city is to rent a car. The main highway is called the "ring highway" in spanish because it literally goes all around the outskirt of the city in a big circle...then you have a 2ndery ring highway just inside the city...from there become familiar with the destination names on the signs...this is the best way to know if you are heading east west north or south. You can't get lost in this city...eventually you'll meet up with the Ring Highway and the adventure begins again.
San Miguel de Cozumel, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
