Iwo's Tip on Acapulco de Juarez
Acapulco de Juarez, Central Pacific Coast, Mexico
Acapulco is a popular tourist destination and frankly, it's fantastic! Just remember to watch out for petty thieves, don't stay too much in the sun (use lots of sun block!) and be mindful of scorpions and other stingers biters!
2.
Dhar's Tip on Coatepec
Coatepec, Central Gulf Coast, Mexico
Coatepec is a jungle paradise. There you will find people who are dedicated to healthy living, and you will possibly eat the healthiest and most delicious food in your life. Spend some time there just meditating, enjoying the beauty of nature, and meeting people.
3.
Karrie's Tip on Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta, Central Pacific Coast, Mexico
The beaches are incredible but don't drink the water...
4.
Dan's Tip on Mexico City
Mexico City, Mexico City & Surrounds, Mexico
Avoid eating fruits off the street
5.
Hassan's Tip on Cancun
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
The best known part of Cancun is the hotel strip which is a man made sand spit full of mostly 5 star hotels. There are precious few shops and restaurants and ATMs and the expectation is clearly to remain in your own resort for entertainment. There is a shuttle bus service into "town" - note that this isn't really Cancun town which is many more miles away and houses mostly the workforce in the tourist industry but another man-made town full of Hooters, KFCs etc Avoid anyone offering you legal or illegal drugs. The pimps are also rather blatant but I found more amusing with their catalogues than caused offence. In all Cancun is pretty convenient for popular excusrions into Chitchen Itza, Tulum, Merida etc. I hired a car and did my own sight-seeing which I highly recommend; plus it's cheaper, more flexible and completely easy and safe

Adrienne's Tip on Nuevo Laredo
Nuevo Laredo, Northeast Mexico, Mexico
Don't take your own vehicle
7.
Lina's Tip on Chichen-Itza
Chichen-Itza, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
Don´t even think of going there on your own. You are talking about easily a few hour ride through dense desolate jungles, with no towns visible and gas stations miles apart. Trust me. You do not want to get stuck there...
8.
An's Tip on Palenque
Palenque, Tabasco & Chiapas, Mexico
Beware of the tourists if you go and visit the temples!!! go in the morning to avoid them...and even then, always better to vistit these kind of eyecatchers in the low-season!
9.
Jay's Tip on Rosarito
Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico
Stay away from the police. They are about as corrupt as any other developing nations. They(police, federalies) can be bought for a price... so keep some cash in pocket for those situations. Otherwise the bars are great!
10.
Saif's Tip on Mexico City
Mexico City, Mexico City & Surrounds, Mexico
Very polluted! Bring your own bottled water!
