This town has a small square in which there are a couple restaurants, a few stores that all sell the same things, and a book shop that is overpriced. Save your money for elsewhere. Comeing into the port, observe the channel markers. Inside the reef, watch for coral heads. If the forcast calls for nasty weather, pay the extra buck and stay in the harbour at marina del sid. The holding is bad in the anchorage offshore of town.

Caribbean bathtub

The crystal blue Caribbean waters gently call out from every hotel in the hotel zone. I hope you packed your swim suit! Leave your troubles behind and hop in. Year round the ocean temperatures are warm an inviting... think bathtub. At our beach the sandbar extends out relatively far and we were protected from the rough surf. The result was nearly glass and always serene. If you're feeling adventurous swim out past the buoys where the water starts to get deeper, just watch out for wave runners and boats. Tell me, can you think of a better way to waste away your day?

You have to go zip lining and swim the caves. The ziplining is so beautiful but check the weather cause you will be doing some hiking so it may get hot. The caves are awesome it is so peaceful and calming. The history of the caves (cenotes) is so interesting. You also would want to schedule a day to go visit the Mayan ruins. Very interesting and cultural. Also very HOT!! The ruins are surrounded by a wall and that wall blocks out any breeze. Dress accordingly
