Travel Tips from people who've been to San Miguel de Cozumel
Good tip? (0) I was reading the other travellertips.. and If you are a real traveller you will know that there's a lot more to do than shop.. We rented a bike(not a car), but the best way would be a motorcycle because it was quite far and warm and we rode to the other side of the island, there are a few touristic beaches, but if you ride a little bit further, you will end up with a lot of locals, in a really cute bay. It was one of the summums of our journey. Watch out because at night they close the road in the south to let the turtles pass to lay their eggs in august. If you like getting to know new cultures, you should ignore the busy coastline and go into the island.. It's amazing there! Good tip? (0) We found this lovely hotel, very cheap just behind the busy and touristic coastline.. The french owners are very happy to welcome you there! It's not so easy to find, but here is the link! http://www.cozumel.net/bb/tamarind/ Tamarindo is, just like Jamaica, a drink they drink in mexico, made out of fruits or flowers. If you are there you should really try it! On the island we learned to dive, we took a course www.divechoicemexico.nl with Ricardo, a very very friendly man. Not too expensive too, and it's a faboulous place to dive!! Good tip? (0)
