Eastern Mongolia Travel Guide

Western Provinces in Mongolia are quite different than from the central and western regions... they are extremely flat!!! :D Now having said that, Choybolson is interesting as its a little mixture of normal provinces in Mongolia with an extra mixture of old russia still lingering. As for travel places, go north to the beautiful lakes or direct east to Buur Lake that joins with Chinese border or even further to the protected area of Nomrog... keep in mind if you go this way you will have to apply for special border permissions as there are constant check points that you will have to show your permissions too!

what is there to say... birth province of Chinggis Khan and there are some very beautiful villages in this region, like Bashriit Village is very pleasent in the summer and some of the locals speak english out there
