Dalandzadgad What to Expect

In the Altai Mountains west of here is place called Valley of the Condors... one of the very few places in the world where you can be fairly certain of seeing lammergeiers - the largest vulture in the Old World.

Dalangazad is just another village good for supplies and a hot shower and good rest... from here you can choose to go SW to Hongor Els Dunes or NW to Bayazag's Flaming Cliff where there are guest gers... beyond this and Yoliin Canyons, there are only few things that can be done for a lot of overland travel between sights

Be careful if you roll around in the Gobi Sand dunes, the fine sand will get into your camera (and every where else!) even if you think you've sealed it safely inside a plastic bag. My camera was completely useless afterwards. I will have to go back one day to take photos of us rolling down the dunes.
