For those who head to south Morocco, make sure you go the whole way to the end of the paved road at M'Hamid, then a little further to the dunes of Erg Chigaga.  

Whether by camel trek from M'hamid (highly recommended for the more adventurous), or by 4WD, it is a magical place where you will be spellbound by the sun setting over the massive dunes. 

I did a 3 day camel trek from M'Hamid to Erg Chigaga through about 60km of desert. Sleeping under the stars with your fellow travellers, your Bedouin guides and trusty camels is a once in a lifetime experience...
