Namibia, one of the newest countries in Africa, is a country for the intrepid. From the wide expanse of the Namib dessert and eerie shipwrecks in the Skeleton Coast to the abundant wildlife in the Daan Viljoen Game Reserve and the chattering colonies of cape fur seals at Cape Cross, ther is much to experience Once known as South-West Africa, Namibia spans from the Orange River in the south to the Kunene river in the north. Gaze up upon thousands upon thousands of stars, in the perspective of the Southern Cross, on a dark desert night, or scale up 300 metre tall sand dunes. If you’re feeling energetic, tackle the Spitskoppe – a unique series of granite peaks that have been dubbed the “Matterhorn of Namibia.” Alternatively, go to visit the Fish River Canyon - one of the largest canyons in the world. Namibia’s striking landscapes full of contrasting, vivid colours are a photographer’s dream and its terrain and people are also sure to capture an adventurer’s imagination .

Travel Tips from people who've been to Namibia
Swakopmund is a true oasis. Let's face it, by the time you get here you probably haven't had a shower in a while, so treat yourself to a movie, some shopping, and a few drinks in the nightclub but don't forget to get out of town and do some very cool extreme style stuff. In my opinion this is the place if you're ever gonna skydive - absolutely stunning. Save some $$$ for Swakopmund. Good tip? (+1) An excellent place to see Pink Flamingos...make sure you take lots more film/memory cards than you think you need, as it can be addictive taking photos of these beautiful birds when they are so close up. Go for a drive out past the salt flats to the beach too - you may also see seals. Good tip? (+1) Joe's Beerhouse is a wonderful place at night to eat some Zebra or a german schweinshaxe outdoors around fireplaces. Namibian lager beer is great. Good tip? (+1) Recent Updates for Namibia
