0038Kolmanskop - Take a guided tour around this interesting ghost town, just outside the town of Luderitz. Once the centre of a booming diamond rush, this town had all the latest modern conveniences shipped out from Germany so that the residents could live in the lap of luxury. Hard to believe that from 1908 this town was a hive of feverish mining activity, as people made fortunes from the diamond rich earth. All moved on however when even better prospects were discovered in Kimberley, South Africa.
