Traveling with Children in Namibia
Swakopmund, Northwestern Namibia, Namibia
stay at the 'alternative space' right on the edge of the dunes, only a few rooms but really laid back and owners are ex-naturists - the pictures on the walls are not for children. GREAT place

Gay/Lesbian Travelers in Namibia
Walvisbaai, Northwestern Namibia, Namibia
An excellent place to see Pink Flamingos...make sure you take lots more film/memory cards than you think you need, as it can be addictive taking photos of these beautiful birds when they are so close up. Go for a drive out past the salt flats to the beach too - you may also see seals.

Swakopmund is a true oasis. Let's face it, by the time you get here you probably haven't had a shower in a while, so treat yourself to a movie, some shopping, and a few drinks in the nightclub but don't forget to get out of town and do some very cool extreme style stuff. In my opinion this is the place if you're ever gonna skydive - absolutely stunning. Save some $$$ for Swakopmund.

Windhoek, Windhoek & Central Namibia, Namibia
Joe's Beerhouse is a wonderful place at night to eat some Zebra or a german schweinshaxe outdoors around fireplaces. Namibian lager beer is great.

Seals are adorable but they do pong a bit, pack your strongest stomach and maybe vist before lunch. Also, during pupping season tragedy can unfold before your eyes. It's Africa - the circle of life is always evident!

Namibia
Namibia is one of the safest and best run country in Africa. Its capital Windhoek is kept clean and has been awarded the cleanest Capital in Africa several years in a row now. The nature is very interesting, from the skeletal coast to the Namib desert... Definitely worth visiting!
