This is a really cool old bazaar town that is just starting to have a tourist industry.  When i visited in 1999 there was almost no places to stay (my sister was living here at the time) for tourists and electricity was spotty at best. It was charming! It still has that charm, but now there are a couple of nice guesthouses and they have fixed up the main bazaar. Halfway between Kathmandu and Pokhara.

A beautiful quiet small village where the maos skipped the police station *g*
During the monsoon season you might me the only westerner up there.
