Pokhara, Nepal
Rent a bike to explore the area surrounding the lake in Pokhara. It's the easiest way to get around, makes it possible to see some really great things and you can meet locals very easily this way. It's a long trek to go all the way around, but it's not too far to explore the lower lying regions by bike. We also attempted the same thing by scooter and it was nearly impossible with all of the potholes and mud. Bikes are the way to go!

Nagarkot, Nepal
You have to get up very early in Nagarkot. Around 5 in the morning you will have a clear sky and you will see most of the highest mountains in the world.

Malemchigaon, Nepal
Most scenic Sherpa-village on the Langtang trek. Peaceful and very historic place the cave is said to be very old where some Lamas from the past have had their retreats.

Kathmandu, Nepal
Wow what a place... completely out of comfort zone here. Great shopping. If you are going to Nepal to go trekking (and who wouldnt) buy your gear when you get to Kathmandu, it is way cheaper than anywhere and perfect for what you need. Even book treks when you are there, the locals are easy to talk to and always full of smiles. But remember to drive a hard bargain!
