In the summer, make sure you visit one of the beaches in the Netherlands. Don´t expect white sand, clear blue water and scorching heat. Instead, expect lots of people to look at and many beach clubs on the sand in which you can have a drink and something from the barbecue. Sometimes there are parties with nice chill out music. Wait for a good day (weatherwise) and make sure not to get stuck in traffic (leave early in the morning).

beach in bloemendaal-aan-zee would be better for those who want to sunbath in peace and quiet - it's just twenty-minute-walk from the most famoust holiday resort - zandvoort, but it's worth it!
