Bussum is an very friendly and quiet small town.
Mostly i go out for dinner at Die Kale, not to expensive  Argentinian / Italian restaurant. A really nice place is The Musk, in Hilversum where you can eat, chill and dance..
If  go only for a little drink, next to the train station are the most fun pubs.
When you really want to party, just go to Amsterdam or Utrecht who are both about 25 km drive cab or train;).
