when there's sun: Rent a bike, please BIKE ALONE, not with bunch of people. Get some food wine at the supermarket, cycle to the Vondelpark, drop your bike, drop yourself on the grass and have a nice time enjoying the weather. Thats life in Amsterdam when it's raining: rent a bike, drown yourself in the rain, cycle through the city from the Museumsquare to the Anne Frankhouse. Do your tourist thing and get soaked. yes. thats also the life in Amsterdam.....

When the weather is good: rent a waterbike or a small boat to go over the canals. It's the best way to discover Amsterdam. If you rent a boat: take wine and food, it's what everybody does :-)
Also go biking through the city; its the fastest way to get around. Taxis are relatively expensive and the public transport doesn't take you everywhere..

madame toussauds is cool. all the undiscovered cafés are really cozy and youd just want to spend the whole day there, especially if the weather is not so great.

recommend for those who likes being on the sea, but don't like boats;) a huge, wide beach ended by a huge pier (~2/3 kilometres into the sea). you can walk there, but nobody takes the responsibility of you so avoid when the weather is bad or is going to be bad - storm can be too dangerous...

Fantastic city with some beautiful views and it is lovely to ride to go around the city. The parks are lovely and people are so relaxed and chilled. Coffee shops....as many as u like.....weather wise is not the best but it is a city to visit.........hope u'll enjoy as much as me!
