Travel Tips from people who've been to Eindhoven
Eindhoven is unmistakeably the most adventurous city in the south of The Netherlands. The country’s fifth-largest city, it offers everything you need to make life enjoyable! A bustling city centre with a huge variety of shops, numerous bars, pubs and restaurants, welcoming terraces, a lively nightlife, an overflowing events calendar and art and culture of the highest quality! But Eindhoven also has a rich historical background; at first sight a young and modern city, it is actually one of the oldest in The Netherlands!
Ever used a Philips product...well this is where it all started...In 1891, brothers Gerard and Anton Philips founded the small light bulb factory that would grow into one of the largest electronics firms in the world.  Philips' presence is probably the largest single contributing factor to the major growth of Eindhoven in the 20th century. Eindhoven has a lively cultural scene. For going out, there are numerous bars on the Market square, Stratumseind (Stratum's End), Dommelstraat, Wilhelmina square and throughout the rest of the city.

The Netherlands is often mistakenly called Holland...
Holland is the western part of the country and is divided in North-Holland and South-Holland.
Eindhoven is the 5th largest city in the Netherlands and is located in the southern region.
It is home to the famous PSV stadium and the soccer club and the worldwide known electrical giant  Philips.
There is a pretty good nightlife and nice restaurants all over the city center. One of the better nightclubs is De Rechter (the Lawyer)  and club Rembrandt, where is mostly a younger crowd (<25) is a nice place 2 and only weekend in what is normally a movie theater.

If you're a foreigner in Holland and you happen to speak dutch a little. You can go to www.9292ov.nl or from mobile phone: mobiel.9292ov.nl
It helps you in giving travel advice specially if you're using public transport.
A little tip on it:
Just type in the street where you are in "straat" and city in"plaats" and then your destination under "naar" column (address and or city).

The result will give you an quite precise schedule and what transportation to take for your most convenient. Even the price of the train or bus ticket.

I used this website all the time.
