Maastricht is a fabolous student city. It is located at the south west of the Neederlands. The people there, otherwise from Germany, usually don´t use hemlmet while driving a motorcycle. A lot but a lot of bicycles, mainly University students. the University is really explesive compared to others in europe. But the language of teaching is english. Few police control while croasing the boarder to Germany.

Best place in the world for Carnaval south of the rivers!!! Great people and loads of fun if you live there.

Bergen op Zoom is a very small town in the Netherlands. The only thing you can do there is cycling ;-P and eat some cheese. The people are lovely but there is nothing else to do.

The littlepub Take Five is a nice place to chill out especially in the winter. The music is good, the beer cold the people friendly.

But Eindhoven also has a rich historical background; at first sight a young and modern city, it is actually one of the oldest in The Netherlands!
Ever used a Philips product...well this is where it all started...In 1891, brothers Gerard and Anton Philips founded the small light bulb factory that would grow into one of the largest electronics firms in the world. Philips' presence is probably the largest single contributing factor to the major growth of Eindhoven in the 20th century. Eindhoven has a lively cultural scene. For going out, there are numerous bars on the Market square, Stratumseind (Stratum's End), Dommelstraat, Wilhelmina square and throughout the rest of the city.

The Netherlands is often mistakenly called Holland...
Holland is the western part of the country and is divided in North-Holland and South-Holland.
Eindhoven is the 5th largest city in the Netherlands and is located in the southern region.
It is home to the famous PSV stadium and the soccer club and the worldwide known electrical giant Philips.
There is a pretty good nightlife and nice restaurants all over the city center. One of the better nightclubs is De Rechter (the Lawyer) and club Rembrandt, where is mostly a younger crowd (25) is a nice place 2 and only weekend in what is normally a movie theater.

I live here now, so it is home. There's not a lot of historical stuff to see since the city was mostly destroyed during WWII. The Stratum is a street with a lot of bars and clubs that is pretty popular among the tourists. There are lots of festivals with music in the summer and Carnaval and Queen's Day are huge parties in the streets.

For those, who didnt know it a city of Philips. There is a Philips music hall, Philips stadium (PSV) etc.

there are some good places at downtown, specially if you like house music.

Oirschot has a great ambiance with its small center. Around the church of Oirschot there is a market every week and there are some shops like a bookshop, clothing stores, a chocolatier, some really good restaurants (a great pizzeria aswell!) and also great house decorations shops. A good tip for Oirschot is the swimming pool in the forest at the edge of Oirschot. Also there is a manege near Oirschot. Ofcourse they also have many sports facilities like an hockeyclub.

Near Ven Gogh's home town. I was camping there for a whole weekend there, and rode bike more than 60 km within two days.

Cool bars can be found at the Vrijthof in the city center.

Its close to the three-country-mark. where germany belgium and netherlands come together, quite fun, but besides the stuff around the city maastricht is a very fun city with loads of commercial streets and alot of romantic hotels!

Maastricht is a real nice small authentic village in the Netherlands where shopping is nice. Great food for a reasonable price check the restaurant La place in the VD shop (Vroom en Dreesman) at the 3rd floor.
