Limburg & Noord Brabant History

Nice Buildings, charming city with a lot of history and a great shopping area. Must-see

It's a very beautiful city with a very rich history and some cool places to check out. It was a walled city in the Middle Ages, and some of the old city walls still remain. There are several cathedrals in the city, and all of them are very beautiful. The town square is an impressive sight, and most Saturdays they have an open market running in the mornings. It also has a very nice shopping district, with some very cool narrow streets to walk down and window shop.

Natuurhistorisch Museum Maastricht
De Bosquetplein 7 Small but very interesting museum of natural history in the city centre. Especially good for mosasaurs.

This region is amazingly beautiful and has a rough history with the two World Wars. It's also home to an American War Cemetery that has a reflecting pool and several dedications to the soldiers who are buried there. Definitely worth a trip.
