Stadskanaal is town in the northeastern Netherlands.
The area is known for its peat mining. With her length of 30 kilometer is is the longest peat mining colony of the world. Some things that are worth a view:
Museumspoorlijn STAR, Juffertoren (Onstwedde), Krinkie spijer (The spuwer, a statue of man standing at the canal)
