Netherlands What to Expect
Rotterdam, Zeeland & Zuid Holland, Netherlands Great Night life as well as day life. Lots to see. Mabye not for the kids. Good tip? (0) Apeldoorn, Eastern Netherlands, Netherlands Apeldoorn is the pearl of the Veluwe area of the Netherlands. Although the city centre is quite ugly (as architecture fan), there are some nice areas. Besides there is "Het Loo" a royal palace of the Dutch Royal family as well as the "apenheul" (monkey zoo) and the kids theme parc "Julianatoren". Good tip? (0) Rotterdam, Zeeland & Zuid Holland, Netherlands The panenkoekenboet is well worth the trip! All you can eat pancakes while cruising the Rotterdam harbour. Great for the kids, they have a ball pit in the hull of the boat too. Good tip? (0) Apeldoorn, Eastern Netherlands, Netherlands Apeldoorn.
This is very fun for parents with kids. Try and go to the "Apenheul" Sounds weird in english, but it is a park for Monkeys, Aap means monkey in dutch. (so that you know) Anyways, Apenheul is a park where 50% of the monkeys walk free. So they can crawl up your hat and stuff. Very cool place to see at least once. If you're done with that. Take the kids to the "Julianatoren". It's like a very big playground for kids. Good tip? (0) Ede, Eastern Netherlands, Netherlands The best place in Ede is next to me on my couch! Just kidding, although it's very comfertable you should go to cafe Flannigans! Of just take a long walk through the forests! Good tip? (0) Amsterdam, Amsterdam & Noord Holland, Netherlands By all means visit the markets, but watch out for pick pockets, they are very organised and experienced. Special places to visit include the Royal Palace, Madame Tousaude's for some local wax and if you must, a local coffee shop, but then remember the first item. Amsterdam isn't that representative of Holland any more, if you really want to experience it, head to one of the smaller towns. Centraal Station will take you pretty much anywear quickly and easily. If you are there and they do a public address warning about the pick pockets, don't do what everyone else automatically does, which is clap their hands to where they keep their wallets. Anyone would think the crims were paying the people to do the PA's lol. Good tip? (+2) Amsterdam, Amsterdam & Noord Holland, Netherlands Definately hire a bike. That was you get the real experiance of amsterdam. Good tip? (+1) Amsterdam, Amsterdam & Noord Holland, Netherlands Stay at "Bob's youth hostel" and buy your green stuff at the "Bulldog Coffee Shop" and it's a fun, albeit hard to recall, trip. Good tip? (+1) Enschede, Eastern Netherlands, Netherlands Every tuesday and saturday there is an open market in the city center, is great to try typical dishes and to learn how people live in this city. Drink Grolsch, is the local beer brand. Good tip? (+1) Terschelling, Northern Netherlands, Netherlands Go to the island of Terschelling in June! There is a great festival taking place every year around this time called 'Oerol': you can find (street) theater, music, dance and all other kinds of entertainement being performed in hidden and unusual places around the island. The atmosphere is great and the island and its surroundings are beautiful. Rent a bike and go explore this beautiful place! Good tip? (+1) Eindhoven, Limburg & Noord Brabant, Netherlands A nice relaxing thing to do when you visit Eindhoven is a day at the wellness: http://www.thermenkastelenplein.nl/ Good tip? (0) Arcen, Limburg & Noord Brabant, Netherlands To eat: Al d'Arcen
Fun Healthy: Thermaal Bad Good tip? (0) Amsterdam, Amsterdam & Noord Holland, Netherlands Amsterdaaaaam! (0) Amsterdam, Amsterdam & Noord Holland, Netherlands It is verey nice to see the great fine arts of which artists like Rembrandet, Van goch Gogan made it in Amesterdan musimes. Hope to have the oppartuinty to see them life Good tip? (0) Franeker, Northern Netherlands, Netherlands De Kleine Beurs is the name of a small but nice cafe.. There is one shopping street but the whole town is very nice and sweet looking with the church still as the tallest building.. The landscape is flat and grassy with beautiful path to cycle along water, nature and beautiful farms! Good tip? (0) Top Cities in Netherlands |
