My opinion is that when you're in Holland's most ugliest city you shouldn't go to a place where you can see more of it. Instead: take a train to a city that has some historic value.

Fascinating, Huge port and shipping Mecca. One of Europes busiest and largest ports. Must see all the modern windmills for electricity just past the port heading south.

From the great wheel you can see the citty top to bottom, the buildings are amazing, but it is too modern...everything made of glass and it looks strange next to the small villages arround it.

The panenkoekenboet is well worth the trip! All you can eat pancakes while cruising the Rotterdam harbour. Great for the kids, they have a ball pit in the hull of the boat too.

2 things to see - churches and some pottery, thats it. Churches are gorgeous (2) but you need to pay to get into both, around 2-3 euros. Pottery is interesting, but you can get it all over Holland. Skip and visit the Vermeer museum instead

This is my hometown. I really enjoy living here together with my misses. However for tourist it might be hard to find there way around. I think there are not enough english sign, but luckly enough most of the dutch speak good english. Pubs are ok, but different from Amsterdam. Dont come to Rotterdam if you are in the Netherlands for drugs and red-light. We still have the drugs but its not as crazy as Amsterdam.

Beautiful Delft! Only a short tram ride from Den Hagg and well worth the trip. The place has Medieval charm; the shops, cafes and Churches are lovely. The main square is particularly picturesque.
