01019If you REALLY want to meet with the local people...go to the 'Van Dishoeckstraat' and go to the local pub called 'Stout'. It used to be the meeting point for the working man, and it still is but then different....anyhow, cocktails for half price and crazy people.

01019Go to the boulevard and ask for the local bread shop/restaurant called ''t Smoske'. You will get a great big loaf of Belgian baked bread with home-made salads to choose from. The price is great! And the fresh orange juice is nice!

0124If you arrive or leave from the station, walk across the locks to restaurant 't puntje. It has the best view of the westerschelde for an extremely good price
