Paihia Travel Guide

Hi guys Paihia is pretty straight forward. Stick to the main road along the coast and you are sweet. A variety of services are available including the ferry over to russel and adventure boating on the Mac Attack whick i personally recommend. Your cheapest accomadation available is on Kings road in the form of 2 particular hostles, "The mouse trap" and "Pepper Tree Lodge". There is a nice bar opposite these also called Pepper tree. However I prefer the bar at the docks called 32 degrees from memory.   Safe traveling people, Keep it fun tho ;-)

Paihia, The Bay of Islands is BEAUTIFUL !!! It's a place where you can unwind and party like a rockstar later on the day. The place is a total tourist spot - many stores to look at and shop from. There are 144 islands and if you decide to go on a jet ski or swim with the dolphins, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.

Go to the little shack next to the beach and rent a kayak for a day and take it out into the bay. Its a sight worth seeing.

Also the base hostel in Paihia is well worth it, meet lots of new people and the bar there is a great place to have a drink. This added to the karaoke bar next door leads for an interesting night.
