Western Springs has a speedway track which doubles as a concert venue traditionally. I've been to races there, and saw the Bee Gees in 1999. Over the last few years residents have been lobbying against the noise. The general attitude towards the residents is that it has been like that for many many years, get over it or go back to where you first came from. There is also a park here with a couple of lakes, ducks, geese, some nice wetland type areas, and M.O.T.A.T. - the Museum of Transport and Technology. Went there a few times in my primary school days and always loved it.
