0016Haast is Home to one of the best jet boat rides in the Country. Haast river Safaris have one Numerous Tourism awards. They are best suited to people who would like to go on a jet boat ride but more for the scenary than the trill. You get to see some of the most beautiful, untouched river side in the country. The boat is also roofed so great in all weather. Definatly worth the stop to do this trip in Haast.

27403There is not much to say about Haast - some Motels and nothing more. But about 20-30km in the north there is Lake Moeraki. Take a walk through the Rainforest to Monroe Beach. I think it is the most beautiful Forest I have ever seen!!!

003Make sure to got o the beach, there are usually driftwood forts. Beware the sandflies though! they will bite and they itch like mad.
