You want an absolutely breathtaking view of the lake? Walk (or drive, if you must) up to Mt. John Observatory. The view of Lake Tekapo is spectacular and there's even a small cafe up there (part of the observatory, I guess).

Ein Ort welcher in Neuseeland besucht werden muss. Herrlich die Farbe des Sees. Und Abends einen Besuch in der suedlichsten Sternwarte. Gewaltiger Sternenhimmel :D
