Listen out for the screams at night as people do bungee jumping in the dark, on the hill looking over the town!!

Good nightlife every night of the week since its a tourist populated town. All the bars are in walking distance of each other, its pretty compact but very lively!

Fantastic spot all year round...Winter for snow skiing/boarding and summer for all the summer water sports. Great night clubs and eateries, always good for people wathching and having a weekend away with friends, Not to mention the fantastic scenery, but remember a jumper it gets cool quickly in the evenings...take your wallet full...its not renound for being on the cheaper budget!

Don't forget your bl**dy sunblock. take it with you. SPF 45 if poss. The burn rate in summer (Dec-Marchish) is 8 mins to lobster city. seriously.

The double decker bus trip is GREAT !! it visits the bunjy site(fantastic hot chocolate mufins) , a vineyard (great cheeses wine) and Arrowtown a beautiful old gold mining town (great chocolate even chilli chocolate yum) This is a fantstic trip even in the middle of winter but dress warm as those old busses are not heated.

Home of the bungee--you can do three jumps in one day and the bungee company will arrange transportation from one locale to the next. Of the three jumps: Off the bridge (original), over the gorge (the longest jump in the world), and off the side of a mountain where you're harnessed in by your waist instead of your feet, making it possible to do backflips. Be sure to tell the bungee operators you're planning a backflip, because there are different precautions they take in this case (i.e. holding the cord out at the side)

wow! Queenstown is great!!! The best place for skydive and bungy! Queenstown is a great place for backpackers, and I found it the best place to go out in NZ - great nightlife!
