The town of Baleyara also contains an excellent market that attracts merchants and buyers from all around. Visit Zinder for traditional architecture and a fine old town. In Agadez, the old Grande Mosque towers above the surrounding buildings, and is a very well known attraction. From Agadez, you can access the Air Mountains and the Tenere Desert. In the Tenere is the town of Bilma, from which camel caravans make their way across the desert carrying salt. For animal sightings, you can see giraffe herds around the town of Koure and visit the large Parc National du “W” du Niger for game and predator viewing.

Bring CFA, or bring nothing and beg for food., Danger & Annoyances, Police, just have your papers and a copy of your passport, or visa, that way if they take it, no worries., Women Travelers, don't travel alone, there really isn't anyplace to stay here. You just pass through. You can get some street food. , Food & Restaurants, There are a bunch of stands by the side of the road, they sell intestines on a stick, they call them nama nama., Interacting with Locals, Bring cola nuts or gunpowder tea, you'll make a lot of friends.
