N'Guigmi is a little town in the east of the Republic of Niger. It is bustling as it is a a place that links between the Sahel zone and the Sahara desert. It is located on the shores of Lake Chad and a lot of fishing is done as one can see fishing boats. Well, was. The lake has retreated some 30 kilometers and no water in sight in N'Guimi anymore.
