Travel Tips from people who've been to Abuja
Don't go! If you have to, stay in the Hilton...
Use the green taxis with the numbers, shouldn't be much more then 500Niara to anywhere in Abuja, mostly 200-300...
Places to go: City Park at night, ok for food and reasonably priced beer. The Grand Mirage at night, reasonably priced beers, live band & prostitutes not too bothersome. Ibiza at night, (same road as Grand Mirage) reasonably priced beers, table/tray/bottle jugglers. Blakes at night, big complex of bars / clubs sort of like the Kuntz Park in Munich, reasonably priced beers & food, live bands etc. Abuja Golf Club daytime, really good course & pay for a caddy & spotter (saves your medal score loads!).
Good tip? (0) If you are man, don't shake the hands of muslim womem (they don't take men's hands). Good tip? (0) Never let people carry your most important laugage. Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Abuja
